You’ve heard the statistic: 80% of women are wearing the wrong size bra. According to expert bra fitter, Kimmay Caldwell – who has fitted thousands of tittes over the past 14 years – women with larger busts are even more likely to fall victim to this problem.
“Often people with a fuller bust are more apt to wear a size and style that doesn’t fit well, because their options are limited at the store or they have no idea that an F or G cup may exist,” she told Seventeen.
“The thing is that people with a smaller bust, who may require less support, can often ‘get away’ with wearing a bra that is slightly off. But when I bra is even slightly off for someone with a fuller bust, it’s often more painful or obvious underneath clothing.”
So to make sure you’re getting the best possible bra for your bust, I crawled online reviews and chatted with big-breasted icons to find the best bras in the biz. Keep on reading for the cutest, most supportive bras for large breasts.
24/7 Perfect Coverage Bra
Cult favorite, ThirdLove is blogger Nabela Noor’s all-time favorite. She loves that the brand is all-inclusive, both in their sizing and their company.
“I made the switch from VS to ThirdLove as I was looking for a company that didn’t just embrace me, but uplifted me,” she explained. “My absolute fave is the Perfect Coverage Bra. I am all about coverage and comfort and I also want to feel sexy for me.”
Basic Beauty T-Shirt Bra
After band size, straps are the second most important bra factor. “If you have a very full bust, going wider, or padded, or even using shoulder cushions on very thin straps is a great idea,” Kimmay explained.
Tulip Lace Push-Up Bra
Curvy Couture barenecessities.com
This lacey number is one that Kimmay recommends to all her big-busted customers, because of the epic support and ultra soft cups. If the balconette style isn’t your vibe, Kimmay recommends basically anything stocked by Curvy Couture.
Lightly Lined T-Shirt Bra
Wide straps and a ton of different colors, shop this bra in sizes B to H in a 36 band to 46. It’s made by Cacique Intimates, a sister brand to Lane Bryant.
Sunnie Wireless Push Up Bra
Just because you’ve got a little extra titty, that doesn’t mean you can’t still rock a push-up. Leader of the body-positivity movement, model Iskra Lawrence says: “My fave [bra] is the Aerie Sunnie Push Up. I love having a comfy bra that is smooth under tees, but also is still a bit sexy and gives me a shape I adore.”
Everyday Glamour Unlined Bra
Kayla Side Support Bra
Kimmay loves this bra, because of the extra wide band. She says that’s actually the secret to major support.
“The real support of any bra comes from the band. So make sure that the band is supportive – which may mean a little taller with a few more hooks, or made of a firmer material. That may sound boring or like ‘too much’ bra, but most commonly it’s really what helps the whole bra provide super support.”
The Base Bra
Out of 91 reviews, 82% are five-star – and that’s majorly impressive. One reviewer said The Base is “probably the best fitting bra” she’s ever had. If you struggle to find bras that fit your bust, fear not: Harper Wilde just expanded their size offerings by 60%, adding band sizes all the way up to a 42 and cup sizes up to F.
Multi-Way Strapless Bra
Vous & Moi us.chantelle.com
Chantelle stocks bras in every design all the way up to a G cup. Believe it or not, this strapless bra will support even larger cup sizes without falling down.
